I spent the weekend wanting to make music but ultimately spending around 8 hours researching preamps and racks. I concluded (with the help of my wife...) that I don't need to buy anything right now. I settled on cashing in a free plugin deal and messing around with it for my weekly beat. Unfiltered Silo is what I went with, a very trippy granular delay plugin.

I combined this with a studio drum recording from a few years ago that I cut up, and put through Soundly Placeit - which is a free plugin and I very much recommend it for creating diegetic sounding audio in a space, which I mainly use for post sound but it seems to have musical uses!
