Porto-ble

Visiting Porto this weekend, I made a drum beat on the plane. All the drums were recorded in Bandlab on my phone which I've never used before - subtly tapping the mic to get the kick, tapping my seatbelt buckle for the hats, and tapping my plastic water bottle for the resonant snare. Then I loaded it up in my hotel this morning in Logic and added the walla from my window and the future-bass style chords!

Great fun! Might be a bit of a crushed mix but I don't have the time to come back to it with fresh ears haha.

Ha, nice to read about the origins of the drums. I would never have guessed. Sounds really good! Are the background noises (people chattering) also from Porto (or is that what "the walla" refers to)?

Really nice work overall!

Thanks! Yes the chatter was on the street outside my hotel - walla is a word used to describe that as a sound effect!
