Old and New

This week I came back to LMMS - completely native other than mastering. This is mainly because the last time I used LMMS I could still go on my windows partition on my mac - now I have to use the mac only version and therefore no external plugins! It's been a massive amount of time since I last used it, and I wish I had exported the stems for more projects. They're kind of lost without a load of work. Anyway, here's a garage beat made in native LMMS.

Welcome back to LMMS—it's a nice progression and instrumentation

Pretty nice example of UK garage. I feel your pain about rescuing old projects. Back "when I was young and restless", I made like 5 years of work using a pirated copy of Reason 2.5... and I'm still extracting stems from those projects to this day! Guess losing some projects is the way we musicians learn to be somewhat more disciplined when it comes to organization.

Anyway, glad to see you back on LMMS. Do you feel much progress in the software itself? Is today's LMMS so different from, let's say, 6 years ago?

Lurvly shuffle!
