I decided to come back to a tiktok loop for this week. Nice little loop!

nice retro vibes, really chill stuff

Great chill vibes great mix a gem on weekly beats wow

I really love those drums and its muffled snares. I guess you got the sound "in the real world" using dampling clothes and that sort of stuff, right?

How do you usually start a track like this one? Is the synth the driving force? The drums?

Lead synth at 2:00 is really beautiful. I really enjoy your music, Abludo. A constant inspiration. Wishing this track was longer smile

Thanks for all your comments! I have some catching up to do too smile

I recorded lots of drum samples at uni, so I used a couple of those which you can hear when the drums first come in, and then when the rest of the drums come in they are recorded drums, as seen in the video! I used a mic bag for the damping smile

Usually, when a song contains finger-picked guitar, that's where it starts for me. Then I recorded the drums, and then the bass. The synths and samples are usually added afterwards, which is why my music is so different nowadays! I think I got to a point where I saw an overwhelming amount of possibilities when starting with samples and synths, so I like to limit my starting point to my performance capability - and so I build around recorded instruments most of the time.

The synths are mostly TAL-UNO-LX - a Roland Juno-60 emulation - I love the sounds I can get out of it at the moment!!

Thanks so much! It means a lot smile I'm looking forward to getting round to listening to your tracks!
