Endless Crush

Finally, I put lyrics to the first ever guitar part I wrote as a kid... My young, 10 year old self'd be proud! Hope you enjoy the pop, the cheese and the trumpets!

Nice work dude, great vocals! You can definitely hear more confidence working its way into your vocal tracks each week.

And keep them trumpets coming!

Thanks for the feedback bud! Hoping to squeeze more trumpets in alright, they've successfully avoided the Weekly Beats creations of late ... plenty of time to sort that out though, I suppose!

That's what I like to hear smile

If I was to offer some constructive criticism for next week, I would have to say keep an eye on your timing, not sure if you're recording in to a DAW, or just into a stand alone mixer, but sometimes your timing can be a bit off - this would add to your strengths x 10! Your melody/song writing is top notch, just need to find the right glue wink

I appreciate the criticism, of course!!!

Yeah, this one was a little awkward -  I had the guitar+vox recorded on their own (with no metronome etc) and it was a last minute decision to try and fill out the sound a bit, to see what'd happen really! So 'twas nightmarish to synchronize beats and things, as you can imagine ...

I will indeed keep that in mind though, thanks!

Lovely job man! Great TMBG vibe to it - channelling Flans here methinks wink
Always a joy to hear your trumpet creeping into the mix, the vocals sound sweet too - lots of organic-sounding stacked harmonies. Love the actual Endless Crush bit...the rhythm is seriously catchy! Love it big_smile

Pop tracks are few and far between here! Nice track though dude, are you Australian?

No, Ireland! Haha, was it the accent? Yeah, only a cheesy pop lyric could've fitted in with the song, nothing else was working so I just gave into the pop! Thanks for the feedback, it's really motivating to hear!

Hahaha, funnily enough I only noticed the TMBG feel after I'd nearly finished! If the synths I'd tried for the chorus had made the final cut, it coulda been the missing Linell haha ... thanks for the feedback, it's actually that wee cornet that I used in the end! It's got a nice mellow tone that blends in the mix nicely.
