I decided to try and do something more traditionally videogamey this week and ended up crunching this out in a couple hours one morning.
I really enjoyed working on this for a couple reasons. One, the instruments are a lot softer than what I normally do so there is less noise and it was easier to mix. Two, I tried to avoid my own personal cliches when writing music so it feels less like something I would normally make, and as someone who has felt very "stuck" in their style for a while that's a step in the right direction!
Oh yeah and speaking of cliches it's in 13/8, 188 bpm. That most likely wont change about me any time soon. I'll do some 4/4 or 3/4 stuff from time to time but I will always love odd time signatures.
