I decided to try and do something more traditionally videogamey this week and ended up crunching this out in a couple hours one morning.

I really enjoyed working on this for a couple reasons. One, the instruments are a lot softer than what I normally do so there is less noise and it was easier to mix. Two, I tried to avoid my own personal cliches when writing music so it feels less like something I would normally make, and as someone who has felt very "stuck" in their style for a while that's a step in the right direction!

Oh yeah and speaking of cliches it's in 13/8, 188 bpm. That most likely wont change about me any time soon. I'll do some 4/4 or 3/4 stuff from time to time but I will always love odd time signatures. heart

13/8, I did not know you existed. Very cool and chunky!

great job at making an odd time signature really flow and sound natural. super great overall aesthetic and melody!

Great natural feel to 13/8 here.  Digging the melody, and I'd agree with the choice to make the instruments cleaner/softer for a clearer mix.  Nicely done!

Love the odd time signature and the melodies are awesome. Sweet percussion work as well!
