Yeah, footwork's the kinda jam that can go bonkers yet be chill all at the same time. Love this.

holy moly such a long track with such energy. sounds super dope and so much going on it's just wow
it must take you ages to put down so many melodic lines, how do u do it?
they are also generally pretty good so putting them down AND then sifting through and deciding to maybe not keep all of them is even more impressive

It is my happy place. I am glad you feel it!

NGL, a lot of the harmonic lines are from selecting and chopping samples of a major chord, and a minor chord, playing the same sounds and then pitching those chains up and down. Usually they sound pretty jarring and terrible til I magically arrange one that is "it" and I go "oh hecking yeah" and keep it. Sometimes, then I change a few notes in that pitched phrasing to make it a bit more... expected.

Without wanting to get too heady, my process is one primarily of discovery... I don't aim for much, and feel like I follow the direction what I've started is telling me to go in.

I really appreciate the kind and encouraging feedback!

this drills mah dude, the dirty breaks also make it sound wholly unique for what you might claim to be just another footie

super energetic! awesome!!

BRK SHIT!

Love your beat work man.  I'm guessing it's tracker based?  One format my brain has never gelled with for some reason even though some of my fave artists use it.  eg. Venetian Snares.

tfw the breaks are absolutely off the hook

this is TURBO!!!! Great work.

on second listen, love the modulation on the little chords that happens around 5 minutes. jazzy little chord change

Can't help but smile when the breaks kick in for real

It is tracker-based. it's mainly m8 tracker, with a sync'd nerdseq controlling a eurorack for some bits and bobs, that was eventually recorded into the m8. the m8 is somewhat intuitive, and worth having a squizz at if you're interested in looking into one that's relatively approachable (in my opinion, at least).

thank you dude. you already know you're a big influence and contributor to the breaks and samples I am exploring atm (appreciate it heaps) and telling me I am doing good makes me feel like I might be! haha

wow your double kicks are godlike

this kept my interest the entire time.  those soft, gentle chords are a great counterpoint to how hard the drums go

I know nothing about genres, but this sounds like "good", so I'll go with that haha
