MONTIFORM

Produced entirely on the Dirtywave M8 tracker.

Trying to work on making some fun chords and whatnot with FM synthesis these days, and this is what came about.

Let me know what you think down below! I'm always happy to get any comments, whether or not it's just love or it's constructive criticism.

Check me out elsewhere at 0x_colt if you like what you hear.

Cheers!

This hard, love the bass and different sections works really great. Reminds me of playing a PS1 racing game smile

Great chops on this one, the retrigs are so satisfying. Fun acid breakdown im the middle too. I find it super hard to tune fmsynth chords for some reason!

This is very cool. I love the spooky harmony, and the acid section midway through was fun.

Love the spooky chords!

This track is a real journey; You did a great job of keeping it evolving and surprising. Loving that kick and breaks combo! And great visuals!

great find this week !!! nicely done !!! very clean and f***ing groovy !! well done!

Sweet, love those slow portamento chords! Sounds like there's a vocal/choir like texture to it, how did you coax M8 to make that kind of sound? Is it just FM with some drive and reverb? Love the breaks too!

Haunted mansion rave. The bouncing bass section is the cherry on top.

Damn this is TUFF!!! Dark!! And you really flexed hard on the breaks!!!

oh yais the breaks around 1:20 so good! \m/ love when the filter brings in the acid line too.  Awesome drill-like snares that hit so nicely with that kick.  Excellent work and love the energy throughout this.

Super smooth d'n'b vibes here.  Dig that slinky bass.

I'm just a wee-lad learning with FM, so I agree fully. I just made three instruments for each shape of chord I was using, and then transposed with notes. I'm too dumb for ratios right now. LOL

Thank you for noticing my exact intention with the sound! It was supposed to be a spooky/unnatural choir. It is exactly that - FM sine chords with some drive, a filter, and some minor EQ smile.
