CARATS

By 0x_colt on February 7, 2026 7:57 am

I originally thought I was toast this week. After a completely sleepless night on Thursday, that random burst of inspiration hit on Friday morning thankfully. This was the result of one 3 hour sitting with my M8, a TD-3-MO, and a lot of caffeine.

I was kind of feeling inspired by the one-take opening dance sequence in the movie "Climax" at first, but then it kind of warped into some other weird thing.

Let me know what you think down below! I'm happy to hear any constructive criticism or feedback! heart

Love that bass. Great funky groove that evolves.

This is SICK absolutely love the diamond in the video as well
loving the acid

cool

really enjoyed the 303 in this one. Great arrangement!

Dig the bouncy propulsion here! Confident and to-the-point.

ooh this is so cool, really love this!!

slick bass and lovin the distortion.  such a hypnotic groove to it combined with the drums.  A head nodder from beginning to end.

I like how the break is coming in tentatively around 30s, then main groove settles in. Cool effect. Bass at 1:30 is awesome and the little acid taste after is yummy. Nice work!

nice tune!! liked alot

Had to come back just to hear the melody thing. It’s such a cool sounding synth with the reverb. I really like this tune and it being more mellow (I’m in a super mellow mood right now, so this being smooth acid is wonderful).

This track is dressed to win and knows where it's going. That bass is great!

Thank you so much, Mr. Drink! Been on that acid grind lately, but this week has something a little different in store for us.

Thank you, I appreciate that! I slaved over that hot 303 in the wee hours of the morning for this one, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks! I really like "bouncy propulsion" as a descriptor heart. I usually try to keep things down to just a few fun mins instead of dragging every track out into 9 minutes of insanity that no one wants to listen to. Haha

Thank you, TM! I thought this was a fun drum groove, too, but y'know a 303 always just makes it go crazy. wink

Thank you, Peter! I've been having tons of fun with the TD-3-MO lately. I did the bass at 1:30ish with that, and the acid sounds that it transitions into with it as well. It can make both classic acid sounds, and just great fat basses in general.

Thank you MRDRCAT! "Dressed to win and knows where it's going" is high praise.
