After realising my massive generative system is pretty unwieldy and not super fun to make music with, I decided to go back to an older version. This one is much more basic, with just 4x 2op FM engines and a reverb. It's a bit better but I think I can refine it a little more.

Anyway here's another 7 or so minutes of me messing around with some of the presets I saved for it. It also demonstrates the preset morph function, so you'll hear parts of it where it slowly morphs into a completely different sound. I really like that feature and think I'll build it into everything I do in Max in the future.

Name also generated by my "wordgen" patch (which I also need to work on because it's currently a bit too random but the generator also loops somewhat so there's some repetition in the results).

100% yes to whatever sort of robot and trashcan orgy this is. Someone is clearly leaking fluid at 3:35.

"What tempo would you like, sir?"
"YES."

Very good clangs.
Great sequencing too, the bpm changes are very fun. I like the bit where the 16th notes morph into a near-phasing rhythm too.

Sometimes less is more as they say. I alway feature creep my projects and have to go back to simplify.

The older system sounds really great. Really rad you built all of this in max.

I'm feelin' that groove
