Another live set build excerpt. I really like the idea of a minimal tech beat without a snare on the 2 and 4. It makes things a bit more hypnotic.

Super-groovy minimalism that builds very nicely. Avoiding the 2/4 snare is a good trick here--the off-beat placement really works to keep it insistent without locking it down to an easy groove. Good stuff.
