ambient acid thing

Some ambient acid, cut from a long jam, with the very end reversed so it leads into an earlier part. Lately I've been a bit obsessed with this concept of leaving the kick out until the last quarter of the track. Probably not the best example of the concept, but we'll get there.

Good stuff!

Good stuff! Liked how it turned acid towards the end.

is that glorious OP-1 spring that I'm hearing?  LOVE that. (even if it isn't)

I looked at the track length and was kind of not excited, but I told myself just to put it on and listen while I checked email.

Then the kick dropped and I was like DANNNNNNG that was actually perfect.  You kind of train my ears to expect a certain movement with the soundscape and then you interrupt it with the kick.  It's like those optical illusions where you stare at an image, and then you look away and see the image's colors reversed.

You were right to set it up like this, very effective. (I answered a lot of emails too wink )
