More m8 ambient stuff.
Half FM synthesis, half samples.

Learned more about FM synthesis this week.
Learned some new music theory but didn't find a way to apply it.

Another song that was fun to write. Mission complete.

This is a new side of you! Very atmospheric, I like it. Can still hear your love for sound design in this for sure.

What new music theory did you learn about?

Thanks!

I learned that each mode of the pentatonic scale is the intersection of three diatonic modes.
I also learned about parallel key changes, which I've used before but haven't thought of in a broader sense.

So I played with parallel changes between diatonic and pentatonic modes, maybe something slowly shifting.
Didn't work out but I'm happy that I at least got to learn more about FM synthesis and I'm sure I'll apply it elsewhere.

This track as a result ended up as a short randomized loop like last week.
I learned how to randomly hop to different sections of a song on M8 and I ran out of time to use it.
Excited to use it next time.

.exe on M8. This could get dangerous.
