The M8 fm engine is worth the price of the device imho. I love using that engine so many tones and the interface really makes fm synth programming fun finding them. Will definitely check out the song file great track!
Damn thats so thick, cant believe the power of this little device, I love how snappy and tight the envelopes are on everything. Are you doing any post processing to the final file after m8? Beautiful melody and story to it all too, so much going and it has that warm epic vibe you are so good at creating. Soo gooood.
Really nice variety of sounds and cool drum programming and ornamentation. The weirder stuff at the end is really nice.
Drum programming gets two thumbs up. The sound design throughout is fantastic, but am really partial to the hats you got out of the FM engine to sound very -very- dang clean... I originally wrote up a bunch of questions but realized you have the `m8s` right there. Going to be a goal to make an .m8s w/ drums in it.
Inspiring work
killer FM design, particularly love the struck-modal-sounding percussive elements. the overtones add extra layers to the fundamental melodies.
also extremely tasteful RET use
The M8 is magic. The sounds in this track are fantastic and the mix is really clean. The beat is tight and hat/stick hits have a really clear and define sound. The choice of the mellow synth makes a beautiful contrast. It’s like a beautiful journey through syrup clouds of pastel colors. Beautiful track.
