Big Phat Beatle

By Tweaklab on March 16, 2014 12:35 pm

90s big beat style track with some distorted 303 goodness for good measure.

Yet another tune I would have liked to do more with but I honestly started running out of ideas (and time!).

On a plus note the entire track was written without the use of any pre-made loops so I'm pretty pleased with the overall palette and drum patterns considering I programmed the lot of them smile love the bassline, reminds me of early Crystal Method tunes, I started writing this after watching the first Matrix film for the first time in 5 years or so lol

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS!  Aw yeah--this is awesome.  Bass whacks us where it counts (great contrast between clean and acid), and the beat is perfect.  Nice bridge, too.  Excellent work!

Cheers man! Definitely a genre I'd like to work with more, if you've got a spare 10 mins here's another 3 tracks of similar genre(s) I made last year for 12eps http://tweaklab.bandcamp.com/album/drumythmatic-ep track 2 is inspired by 90s Junkie XL etc
