Flipping The Upside Down

By Tone Matrix on July 24, 2016 9:20 pm

My love for 80s nostalgia has been renewed thanks to Ready Player One, Stranger Things and synthwave music.  I had the intention of creating something a bit dissonant and dark but instead ended up with this ambient sort of track.  The soundtrack to Stranger Things is awesome imho.  I can't get enough of those 80s synth arpeggios smile
Thanks for listening!

Getting ready for your new chill-wave songs (This one's marvellous, by the way)

Didn't knew about Ready Player One. I should read the book before the movie hits theaters smile

Pressing play on your tune again...

Sweet sounding 80's nostalgia. (Haven't read Ready Player One or watched Stranger things yet, must get around to that soon)

That filtered sawtooth arpeggio: damn!  The reverb pizzicato and pad/chorus, the drums...everything is perfect.  Fantastic.

Can't believe I almost missed this. Yes yes, love those 80s arps!

I read Ready Player One awhile back and quite enjoyed it.  I'm not familiar with Stranger Things, but this track is great!

Great synths homie! I really felt like I was watching an introduction to characters in Stranger Things. Good Stuff. What synth did you use?

Love it, I just started watching stranger things yesterday and the first thing that I noticed was the soundtrack, this track could easily work on the show
