Chew Bamboo

3rd week in a row trying out different scales.  This week it's the minor pentatonic. yikes
I did hit a snag halfway thru when my computer crashed and couldn't even recover the last auto-saved version.  So this track could've gone one way but thanks to a glitch in the Tone Matrix, I went somewhere else.  Oh well see ya next week!

Nice ominous crunchy bass--and that's a cool frequency sweep on the kick. Very engaging pentatonic melodies, great set of variations with percussion and pads--and that crescendo is the business. Totally down with this one.  Nice stuff.

Love it! Great percussion!!!

Man, this is just so good.

Bad computer. Good piece!

Beautiful melodies. I love it!

When I started listening to this track, I wasn't sure what was going on. It sounded so unlike your style. By the end though you totally sold me. Really cool stuff.

A lot of programs have an increment and save feature which I find useful for corrupt saves, or just an easy way to go back a bit... it has saved me a lot of headaches!

Yeah Ableton normally does that for me, but this was such a horrible kaboom that Ableton was like "Yup we don't know what happened either"
So I had the previously saved version but it just happened to be one of those chunks where I added a bunch of ideas and then took a break to come back and find out oh crap what did i just put there yikes
Yay computers!

Thanks everyone smile
I wasn't feeling so great about this track but it's nice to hear everyone's thoughts.
Keep on keeping on! smile

Greetings from a bamboo chewer here...

I recently lost my whole WB 2016 week four project (artwork included) because of a glitch in my cloud server, so I feel your anger smile It's sometimes frustrating and you think "i'd be better with hardware!"... Then one day your hardware can't read its floppy disk and you wish yu produced it in the box smile
