Say Time/Say Words Feat. Charlotte Lowdell

By Tiger Lightning on January 12, 2014 1:28 am

A song made this week, with vocals from my good friend Charlotte.
Vocals were recorded in my bedroom with a SM57.
Inspired by R&B and Jersey Club, made in Ableton Live.
Tried to experiment with more reverse sounds and effects.
Feedback is always welcome.

This is really lovely. I've only listened on laptop speakers, so excuse that. The singer, Charlotte, has a lovely voice, and the voice part and music work really well together. I am not entirely convinced about the pad-style chord sound, but that's just me. Keep up the good work!  fav

Ooh, when that Jersey Club beat kicks in, that's super catchy. And beautiful vocals!

Nice job! The vocals are nice and suits the rest of the track.

nice.  To my ear, there is a bit too much of the hiss ambiance that pervades the whole track, maybe clamp down on some of the reverb tails a bit to try and leave more space?

This is kinds interesting to me because the main bell patch sounds a lot like my beloved Roland D-50. Which is I think Rolands first DSP based synth (1987). I like the arrangement, the vocal, and the sequence, I feel like if you had access to an analog synth for the bassline, to get that heavens sound it would have even been better.

Really works for the sound youre going for. Beats hit hard and that voice is sexy. Bass was alittle weak but you got me convinced.
