Am visiting Japan from this week so in between fighting jet lag and meeting friends have not had much chance to work on weeklybeats...!

I was kinda worried about not being able to finish something this week, so on a whim recorded one of Tokyo's characteristic train station jingles to have at least something to work from, and this Sunday night I finally had a chance to do something with it.

Everything except for the bass sound is made of excerpts from that recording, making much use of Max for Live's Granulator to create instruments from the short 5 second chime. Hope it's "listenable" smile

Hehe, I actually only returned to Denmark last summer after having lived in Japan for 11 years!
Now considering whether to stay in Denmark or move back tongue It is really a great place to visit, if you ever get a chance to go and need a guide let me know wink

Really envy your Japan experience, also. And the track is quite more than listenable. I should really give Granulator a good look smile
