Renoise Feature Test 2 (Boss Theme)

By Strayce on October 2, 2016 6:21 pm

About six hours work in Renoise, still getting to grips with it. Plogue on one set of drums and a (royalty-free) sliced break on the other. Chip32 on the rest of the synths. I'm fairly happy with this but no matter what I do with the lead it just doesn't seem quite the right degree of wrong. It's supposed to be a little discordant and unsettling (I picture it as the theme to a boss fight in a game like metroid or r-type where the enemies are generally kinda freaky), but I feel like I can't get it to sit quite like I want it to.

This lays down its groove pretty decisively, I like it!
