Week29 - Slightly more... Again

By Stefano D'Alessio on July 19, 2014 3:30 pm

Slightly more… Again is a track completely realized using a Korg Monotron Delay as only sound source. The Monotron output has been fed back in to the Aux input, creating a feedback loop and most of the recordings have been done misusing the instrument, powering it with very low battery. The loss of current gave the instrument an instability that permitted unusual sound to be created and amplified by the feedback system.
The track has been entirely created in three days (16-18 July 2014).
Composed in Logic.

Wow. A bit like the end of that Sonic Youth album where they unplug their instruments. Faved & saved.

my goodness, this is absolutely amazing! aggressive, mindblowing, yet subtle!

"I don't like that noise!" -my 3 year old

I do, though!

I didn't expect the apocalypse to arrive via radio-controlled balloon animals, and yet here we are.  Excellent, unsettling work!

Love how this is aggressive, but still sparse. Well done!

I'd love to hear this on a MASSIVE PA.  big_smile

huuuuuge!!! Absolute fan of those "misusings", really great work!
