Goa1 (Forever Long Mix

By spry on April 24, 2012 12:40 am

I decided I was going to get back to my roots as a guitar player and butcher the gameboy sound this week with effects :-X  This is a super long and gratuitous mix of a live mode song I made for an upcoming chip-trance compilation with a few of the cinci chiptuners that I just couldn't wait to not show people.

Setup as follows  (-- mono, == stereo):

Gameboy(LSDJ)-->KaossPad(PingPongDelay)[bass^^^,treb/]==>Mixer(compressor,40/60mix)===>Ableton(Compressor,EQ)
||=====================================================================^^

If it doesn't make sense, zoom out :-X

Also, I just want to say that Weekly Beats is awesome.  I'm really glad that this thing is happening for lots of reasons.

P.S.
The file for this was too big for the site @320 so this is at 256 8-D
P.P.S.
There is a video of me playing this song in the studio with effects and stuff posted hurr:

Sweeeeet and solid as a rock.  A crack rock that is.

Damn! You know it's a long track when the little blue line barely moves at all! In this case though, it was 100% worth it - if it had been any shorter I'd have felt cheated out of awesome music smile

awesome track!!! cool sounds! downloaded! smile

..and thanks for great videos!! smile

This was rad as hell d00d.  Some neat programming in there.  I'll have to check the video out later.  So, it's a mono LSDJ track with stereo effects?

Thanks guys!  @robo its mono into the kp with the stereo effects and stereo into mixer in parallel with a 40% wet mix.  The video is actually a slightly different setup with a delay module and my kaosspad running filter and chip effects :-)

Bangin! I liek that Winnie the pooh .gif haha
