Fulcrum (WB12)

Still cant get my total time down below one hour but im getting closer.  This week I spent about 20 minutes recording ukulele loops, 25 minutes building accompaniment and drums, 15 min recording structure, 5 min bouncing side chain, 10 minutes mixing and fixing and then bounced out.  Total time 1 hour 15 minutes.

Probably could have spent another 20 minutes on those samples cause they turned out a little raw especially in the turnarounds and could have piddled around mixing for another hour getting it perfect but for the time im happy with the result.

Nice jam. One sincere question: do you want to do your best WB in the shortest amount of time possible or are you under serious time constrains?. Just asking: your releases always have a really consistent sound, so I wonder you're planning to develop further in the future or just leave them as exercises.

Well done

nice job - really like your kick drum and also how you jump from 4 on the floor to bouncing it around

thanks big_smile  i guess i am using this as an opportunity to refine my workflow more so than make the best songs i can.  if i make some sweet tunes then thats awesome as well.  my impetus is really to get myself comfortable with all the parts of the workflow to the point where someone can pay me by the hour and ill be able to work efficiently.  so the one hour time constraint is really more of a self imposition and a goal-line.  once i can slim it down to an hour i can work on improving the use of those techniques beyond.

thanks big_smile  it bugs me to just have 4otF all day and night. gotta spice it up at least a little

Oh man those little tinkles add the best contrast. This is dope.

Love it! smile

Very nice piece here--especially digging the use riff and the kick doubling its cadence.
