There's Five a Us and Only One a Yous

Gear: Ableton Live 9 Suite, Komplete 9 (Massive, Battery, Absynth, FM8, Guitar Rig), Bass Guitar.
Ideas going in: I had been messing around with Guitar Rig, recorded a line I liked, and started making music around the line and realized that the bassline I'd come up with was garbage. I sliced out one part, rewrote the progression entirely around that one piece, and then the rest sorta came together. The synth lead is a formant sorta voice patch, the backing noises are all squares and saws, and the drums are from Battery's Arena set. Nothing is purely a preset, but nothing is purely original either.
Reflection afterwards: I'm excited to see how all these new tools will grow my creative process or soundscape. Between the hardware analog stuff and the virtual softsynth whatnot, I think I'm pretty well set up to make all the noises I want to make big_smile

nice one

LOving the "rock" bass sounding along those chiptuny arpeggios. All very carefully balanced. I also have Komplete but haven't had yet the time to check even a 4% of the whole thing! Maybe that's what hardware has: you could see it's limitations right from the box smile

Excellent tune, indeed smile
