Test Icicles

I've got all new gear, and all new problems, and all new workflow, and here we are. This is a test sort of concept that includes a number of things, including the Pinecone Percussion pack, a 909 sample drum machine, a Moog Minitaur, a Moog Slim Phatty, and an Eventide TimeFactor.

Going into this: I just wanted to make noise! This was largely the result of trying to figure out my new workflow in Ableton Live 9 Suite with the Push, and I came up with this sound. It's *clearly* a test song, pretty repetitious, no new themes introduced once every instrument is live, but it at least sounds like a thing.

I would say that I think the latency between playing the midi out of my computer into one of the external instruments and then hearing the audio back on my computer is just long enough that I can sorta tell. Let me know if you notice any timing issues, especially in the bass.

Can't go wrong with multitap delay. smile

This is a fun tease of a track, looking forward to hearing what you make next with that gear!

Seems like a ton of interesting gear, though I feel you when you talk about the timing issues. I'm using my MIDI gear clock sync'ed, but not really as real time instruments. You know, too many years hitting record, make one layer, stop, rinse, repeat... smile

Glad to see you back in here! THose arpeggios were killers, wish I could sample them wink
