Picking up a project from 6 months ago. Concept album about a satellite mission.

Korg Gadget on iPhone

Before composition

I had originally wanted to make this a song with an ever increasing tempo, but that wasn't possible on Korg Gadget, so I abandoned that thought.

After completion

I am working on adding a lead line during blastoff, and still working on getting the mix right, but here's the song. Not a lot gonna change at this point.

like the naïve feel at the beginning but the sustained chords that come halfway make it more cheesy than i wanted hmm enjoyed it nevertheless

Not sure I know what you mean by naïve. And I would say I was going for optimistic over cheesy, but I suppose those are pretty close together.

whoa, wtf - why is this so awesome?  You totally surprised me with the halftime breakdown.  I am LOVING the static sound.  I can hear the engine lifting off!!  Really makes me feel like I'm looking at the world from a hot air balloon and hearing the fire burning bright in my ear.  Beautiful work, my friend! smile

Thank you so much! That's exactly what I was hoping for, just a big build and a powerful happy sound.

Also meant to mention I love your take on the theme! I had originally intended for it to be a shuttle liftoff and gentle resting into orbit, but it works great in a Hot Air balloon, high above the ground, blasting the fires for even greater heights big_smile

Surprising change through the middle. Maybe soundwise the mix it's a little cluttered at the rise, but nonetheless the optimistic feeling is intact. Pretty nice harmonies and I loved the "remaining uburned" notes at the end.

Really "cute and optimistic" work, for a lack of a better description
