theme 27

By Q-Rosh on December 31, 2016 11:48 am

The last track for this year is an old jam I did with myself, a long time ago. I only had to mix it properly now. The theme of this song comes from the track twentyseven written by Sad Rockets, where I had the job to play violin. I loved the simple bluesy melody together with that awesome beat. I tried an experimental-version for my own and I am still happy with the result after so many years. The main challange was the micing of the instruments, giving the whole song a roomy feeling and having fun.
I want to thank everyone supporting and inspiring me. Have a peaceful new year.

Infinite groan tubes!

This track has got a great live feeling to it, sounds like the final jam before the band has to stop playing.
Well done!
And thank you for all your great tracks in 2016.

wow, great way to end 2017!  awesome stuff, thanks for being my music buddy this year!

Yeah the live sound is awesome on this one.  The mix is great.  It's been a blast listening to your music this past year and hope the future treats you well!

The drum work is marvelous!!!
Love it!

Thanks for all the inspiring tracks in 2016.
I've spread your pearl album to a lot of people...

Hope to see you back here in 2018!?!

Recording is super; love that slow march feel. Thanks for a year of superb music!

Love those groan tubes (thanks ipaghost for reminding what those are called), and the guitar work, nice slow, contemplative groove. I have enjoyed your music this year, thanks!

Dear orangedrink. Thank you so much for listening and the comments, but I have to live through 2017 before I can end it. Have a very good new year and stay cool.

UHHHHH I MEANT 2016 - WEEKLY BEATS HAS FRIED MY BRAIN; U KNOW HOW IT IS

I might steal those drums smile great ambience as always, keep up the good work throughout 2017 though I'll miss getting to check it out weekly! also a really great "ending" track in general, you have mastered the ability to capture "atmosphere" and "mood" and it always gets me.

Hehe, great! Sometimes when I'm at WorldMarket, they will have an unopened case moo-cans, and I always half to flip the whole thing.

Smooth.

you can do the drumstealing, if you want to, let me know about the results, either in 2018 or via email-contact. You are always welcome. And thank you for the kind words.

Excellent recording and mix.  It reminded me a bit of Portishead with the laid-back tempo and somber guitar and wurli. Suhweet clarinet outro too!  I hope you have a great 2017! smile
