Filtered Black

Short and droney this week. Mainly the DSI Mopho run through various hardware effects, plus some glitched drum machines lurking in the backgrounds. Short, somewhat dense and dark.

I quite like filtered black coffee.
I also quite like this track. Coincidence? I think not.
The thing that gets me about it is that there is quite a lot of sonic detail to listen to/for, which makes for pretty damn engaging listening.

Back in the machine shop, eh? That low bass is making stuff dance on the shelves!

Minimalist but with some nice textures.  Definitely manages to create a sense of tension and unease in its short runtime.

+1 on the Mopho and cool cool atmosphere!

aweseome textures! Would love to see your setup!

Thanks, perhaps the feel of the coffee I was drinking as I mixed it comes through in the music!

Although I love the endless possibilities of software, there's something about hardware that sometimes fuel my creativity. Hope nothing fell off your shelves smile

Thanks, for me the Mopho is the perfect combination of immediate good sounds, but still endless tweakability when I need it.

Thanks! The setup for this track wasn't big: almost all tracks are made by the Mopho through a Digitech Bass Synth Wah into a Yamaha FX500 with the output fed back into the Bass Synth Wah to create a somewhat controlled feedback loop, and then into the Kaoss Pad 3 for looping and further mangling.

Excellent industrial sounds percolating about.  Nice work!
