Snitch

I felt like taking a breath this week and therefore have tried not to put toooo much time and effort into this one. This is why it's not too well composed nor mixed, but nevertheless it has to do the job.

It's mainly consisting of playing around with turnado and sector on the ipad. Drums coming from seekbeats, synth is Thor, also iPad. Hope you can stand (and enjoy) the 4 minutes!

Loving the sounds in this especially how one of the synths has the feel of a generator or something cycling round and round.  Is that from Turnado?  The beats sound nice and tight as well.  I wish I used my iPad more for music and not mindless games smile  Seriously love how the rhythm of the synths are pulsating.  Nice job!

Nice one again. Sounds very DAW and not iPad at all - impressive! I like how you incorporate your voice in the background (I think).

Man, in a good way... I always smile when you say it's not well mixed? How many channels are there? 16? Maybe more?... My project had 6 tracks this week!

I'm still wrapping my head around your mixes, trying to understand how you manage to keep everything so tidy and not falling into pure chaos... Well done, as always

Is that Dub Machines's Magnetic creating that feedback tail at the end of the track? wink

Thank you so much for listening! Yeah, probably it's more than 16 channels, i haven't counted smile Like i've said several times before, it's just inflationary. I've tried hard to focus on less tracks, but there's no chance smile
And yes, i'm a frequent user of Dub Machine's Diffuse and Magnetic. The feedback tail is Diffuse, but Magnetic is also on one send smile (btw the cpu load of those are immense, which at least prevents using them on too many tracks smile )

Thanks a lot for listening! smile The "cycling generator" is a looped and pitched slice of the Thor synth (processed in Sector). In fact all synth-like tracks originates in just one recording of thor. Then duplicated on several tracks with different pitches and fx on it (reverb, delay, autofilter, etc) and different loop lengths.

Turnado on the other side was mainly used to mangle the drums for some extra glitchness.

Yes, I thought I finally had found a substitute for my Boss RE-20 pedal but... My machine sometimes climbs to 90-95% percent of CPU usage with Dub Machines... So I'm combining both and do a lot of bouncing.

In a way, I'm happier with my hardware ever since a have such an excellent software alternative... Everything has it's place smile

Agree with this completely! (Including the iPad productivity issue smile) Super good sounds. I think it's important to play around with your production at times to keep things fresh. It's no fun if you feel stuck in a rut! Great work, per usual

The mix is as always impressive, lots of stuff happening, but everything sits very well together. And some great sounds in there. Well done!

Wow, almost missed your piece this week. Glad I didn't: crunchy goodness in an excellent mix!

It's hard to believe these great sounds come from an ipad! Good job!

absolutely bearable, my friend!

Wow, this is wicked! There'a all kinds of sonic candy in here! Very inspiring stuff! Well done. smile

This is really nice. I think it's very well composed. I love what happens about 1/5th of the way in with those glitchy sounds. Just awesome.

This sounds so big and spacy and phat. Love the glitches and how there's million things happening, but the track isnt too "full"
