Tardigrade House

This week seemed a bit tight for this track, and yet I ended up generating a lot of clips (too many to use).  I thought I'd just go with a simple house track, and it grew a bit more than the initial minimal house thought.  Everything here is synthesized in Ableton's Analog, with the exception of the electric piano, which is Ableton's Electric instrument, and sampled handclaps (glue compressor to control this). I used Analog for a bunch of voices in a drum rack (split into an effects rack, one channel of which got bit crushed, the other one straight), bass (glue compressor), three leads, two pads, and a tremolo pad.  Sends were two convolution reverbs, filter delay, and simple delay. Everything got humanizer, auto-pan for volume/pan, and the master channel got Full-Chain Master.

The introduction and the drop got stretched-tempo versions of those clips--down to effectively 32bpm, because I thought it was funny.  The kids decided that I should call it something to do with tardigrades, and with the slow-down, that seems right.

Cool stuff, very controlled mix, and I love to know what's going on in your Live project... smile

the humanizer, the auto-pan, the Analog percussion... something different this week, but still entirely recognizable as your style

kind of hectic and chill at the same time.  nice!

Very nice, great momentum to this, the panning sounds great on headphones

Masterful use of the delays: I really love the overlapping elements -- right on the edge of chaos.

NIce rich sounds and great mix!

Really dig these delayed effects smile

very nicely done
