WANNA C U

Started and finished this week, which always feels like a rush, but also feels so good. After tapping out various parts on the push, layering, layering, editing, then added samples of drumming on dining room table, tea kettle and metal table lamp. Vocoded voice kind of an afterthought, but fun. Accidentally left the mic on and captured some sounds of the kid swinging his toy sword around and making fighting sounds, so left those in. Wanted to practice writing melodies and harmonies more, so have a couple things here which I'm medium happy with, but may change in a future version. And I really want to play with the tea kettle with water sloshing around more. Could use some more mastering and more edits, but wasn't able to get around to it. As always I appreciate any feedback and constructive criticism, I'm here to grow and learn. Cheers.

this is great! really nice sound quality and interesting things happening, fun track.

Thanks very much.

great track!

Totally digging this beat, and knowing the sound sources make it even better--great percussion and melody, and that vocoder is a heck of a good hook.  Excellent stuff!

Thanks, really appreciate hearing that. Sometimes I really really want to just come up with awesome hooks ... until I don't want to any more ....  Love hate relationship.

Has that Andy Hardy on acid feel: mellow with a touch of strangeness.

One of the best I've heard (this week or ever).

Wow, thanks so much! This comment made my day! Andy Hardy as in the old TV character? Mellow with a touch (or a lot) of strangeness pretty much describes me, and possibly much of the music I'll end up making too.

I suppose the movies wound up on TV: they featured Andy Rooney and Judy Garland as excessively clean-cut American teens ::)
