Sassy McSquatcherson

By miraclemiles on November 14, 2016 12:01 am

Started this song with bassline from live jam last week with amazing bass player Ethan H (who also played on the track from last week). I played live drums on this but didn't have time to fix the live drum recording so played some drums on the Push. Added the Marimba and extra parts on the Push in short time today, and that's about it. Look forward to spending more time with this to build and enhance. I pictured an animal or some sort waking up and walking around when I hear this. Decided that animal is a Sasquatch, who supposedly if real, lives up here in the great Pacific Northwest of the US. I'll keep looking for him so I can play him this song.

Fun track, the drums still have a live sound to them, marimba sounds great and awesome bass!

That really is some sweet bass playing and I agree the drums sound good as is.  Definitely get the dancing sasquatch vibe.  Really fun track.

Thanks so much! yeah, tapping out drums on pads and leaving un quantized can still sound live, I love that, it's been hard to actually record playing drums, but they do provide good starting point!

Thanks!! yeah he's so good, inspiring jams indeed, appreciate that you dig the drums (i'm kind of rusty and this was the third run through on this new jam) glad you get the Squatch thing. One day I'll see him!!
