Peacock Pavillion

By miraclemiles on March 6, 2016 8:37 pm

The beginning and end parts of this were result of a jam with myself on the Push and collaborator AM Faulks on guitar. Sat down thinking laid back tropical, dubbish feel. All parts are first takes, edited for length only.
The middle double-time part was not part of the live jam, and was added a couple days ago. The big timbale madness in that middle parts were a sampled instrument pack and were each played in one take on the Push. So unfortunately not played on real timbales, (though I would have if I had some timbales. The last time I had access to some was in community college. Ah, the fond memories of community college jazz band).
My working title for this was ShankaPuss for some reason. Asked Mrs. Miracle Miles for a new title, and she immediately said Peacock Pavillion, which was so random and funny. Played the song again and thought, yeah I could see some peacock's hanging out in a pavillion to this soundtrack. Then maybe the start dancing, or fighting. Or dance fighting.

Very nice atmosphere on this one!  Digging the guitar and synth combinations.

a lot of good ideas in there, I love the contrasts
