during those last two weeks I thought a lot about the way I produce and play music and decided to try some new things. I concluded that I was trying very hard to run away from the computer, but the overall sound quality got actually worst. sold my beloved octatrack and decided to focus on producing better tracks in the studio, developing my mixing skills, and I started developing a new live setup with the computer back again.

this track is an attempt to make something that would fit this new setup, more dance oriented and preprepared for a live situation. that's why this is a short song: I created some loops that would fit together and created one possible arrangement, but this one is more about the loops for improvisation then a specific arrangement and composition. I hope that makes some sense.

Nice offsets and development.

I'm feeling the funk.

yes, does make sense! so it's almost more of a study i guess -- i can see the elements -- the guitar riff, the bass, the chords -- but it does seem to me like you would want to tie it together more somehow. not a criticism, just what i'm getting from the song. curious what comes next!

Thank you! I actually got a little worried that I used too much offsets, but I really enjoy those!

You are absolutely right. The elements are not as cohesive as they could be. Maybe it is problem with the mix, maybe is the composition itself. Right now I'm really behind in WB, too much stuff happening, but I want to get back as soon as possible!

Hey man, I really appreciate your comment. Really inspiring to keep going. I've been away from Weekly Beats because I was trying to focus on other projects, and the last few weeks have been really chaotic. But I hope I will have something to upload next week! Cheers!
