Daybreaker

I really struggled getting into the creative mindset this week...No idea why, just the way it was. But, I am actually really happy with the result (somewhat surprisingly). The piece started feeling a little stale in the second drop, so I threw in a cheeky little synth solo (which, yes, was played by me).
Hope you guys like it!

Boy oh boy do I love that opening filter.  Great tempo.  Great cheeky solo wink  I liked when you did that little skipping rhythm with the solo.  Nice breakup from the consistent rhythm of the heavy thump thump.  Again, amazing production as always.  You are an ace at compression!

Thanks Orangedrink! Just had a read through all your comments and figured it would be easier to just reply to one of them (I'm a little lazy like that!). Thanks for taking the time to listen to my stuff, it's very much appreciated! I'm happy to do some video tutorials and stuff walking through aspects of my tracks if that's of interest to you? I'm sure I'll be able to find some time for it to fit into my schedule...
Thanks again for all the great comments and support, it really does mean a lot! big_smile

+1 on the video tutorials section. I'd love to see your take on the compression/sidechain. We're both Ableton users and although our sounds are somewhat different, I really admire the "crystal clear" quality of your productions.

Really uplifting track, and nice synth line. I hear you on the "week creative block" thing, though your track came out really amazing

Alright, I'll see what I can do about the video tutorials, will probably end up being a walkthrough of one of my previous WB tracks, I'll have a think about which one! Thanks for the kind words and glad you liked it! smile

Excellent dancetrack!

That solo kicks ass!! Everyone hits creative blocks, but how you push through them is what matters. I'd say you've got plenty of techniques to fall back on when you're not feeling super creative, this track being an example of that!
