Contemplation

By Martiln on February 25, 2016 7:52 am

Did this one in four half-hour lots on Thursday. Gave myself 10 minutes at the start to create a drum rack and grab some synths and stuff into the project and didn't use any other sounds than what I pulled into the project during that 10 minutes. I've found that limiting myself like that is a great way to get something done. All that aside, I'm pretty happy with the end result and I hope you guys enjoy it as well!

So many strong sounds! Here I was thinking you might make something more relaxed or easy (since you have uni work). But no, you deal this huge punch to the face. I'm amazed. Fav'd and downloaded!

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah I managed to find a little bit of downtime in between study. Besides, who wants relaxed and easy anyway! wink

Wow! Huge sounds here! Nice job, dude. And I agree, limits always help and keep you moving.

MASSIVE beat.  This is totally epic.  Like a superhero movie in slow motion.

Yeah, I find especially when short on time (such as is often the case with weekly beats) that setting limits are a great way to just do something.
Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed it! smile

That analogy is awesome! Thanks as always for listening and I'm glad you liked it!

I think limitations often make ourselves push the limits of our confort zone. maybe you could have spent hours pickin' synths without settling for one sound and build a track, but instead yu did an excellent piece with rock solid drums and yet a gorgeous melodic layer.

Excellent piece, no doubt.
