Hi. I had a whole week to catch up and listen to all your wonderful songs (and still many to go)...

I finally got my AY3 synth on the mailbox, so I decided to step out of my confort zone and try some different rhythms while keeping the chiptune spirit... Check for yourselves. I sincerely hope this one's groovy enough!

Tools of the trade: Ableton Live 9, AY3 chiptune hardware synth, Arturia microBrute for the bass

Now let's here more cool songs. Peace and best wishes to all WBPeople around the world!!!

DUDE, AY3 is my current wishlist item. I'm so psyched about how good this thing sounds! I mean, also, you're doing great things with it. This is a fantastic song. Like, I feel like your dynamics sensibilities are really great. You keep doing new things every time I think I have the structure figured out.

Man, thanks! AY3 it's a quite capable chiptune synth. Pay no mind to some random dudes over Synthopia complaining about "not sounding like a full analog Minimoog" (guess you know what I mean). Mine had some minor build flaws, but the guy building them is working on demand, and everything got fixed quite easily.

About the structure, I just build 3 basic motives, one or two bars long, and rendered them with different presets/adjustments. Then I jammed with them for a while until I found some solid parts. Guess the fact that every line has two AY-8912 chips instead of one helps building some pseudo polyphony.

Thanks again for listening and the kind words!!!

Have had my eye on AY3 - looks very tasty indeed. Dig the latin feel and chip antics .. awesome Monday listening fodder big_smile

Love it! Ay3 sounds great too!

I can only second, third and forth the above. Faved smile

Hey, thanks again Jim. Nice to hear you're enjoying it.

This is like chiptune plus! Super creative per usual!

Ha! So much fun! Awesome layering and melodies. There's no way to express it better than Ipaghost smile

Nice all around.  My video games never sounded like this.

Awesome mix of reggae feel and, well, hyped up synth loops. That sounds like so much work!! But also so much fun. I think I can hear the summer through there.

This is great! Love the rhythms.
I think that if an old dusty home organ and some old game console would
become alive, take some drugs and started jamming together
-then something like this would come up! smile

ipaghost nailed it with the gif, that was my exact reaction smile! Love the beat with AY3! Like woah this is the first time I've heard of this synth.  I checked out the demo video and this song should be included cuz i want one now!  Yay cowbell!

Hey, guys, thanks smile All your possitive feedback is really appreciated. I'll try to reach Alex, the AY3 maker, so he'd have a listen at this one.

I'm sure you all would work amazing wonders with this synth. Looking forward to hear your new stuff this week

This is sick. I love the latiny flavor here along with the awesome composition. Great feel to this. Very well done!

This is a sick infusion. The finest Latin chiptune funk.
