Say hello to the departed!

Again only a quick fix to the age old problem of doing things at the last minute. I did not feel like doing anything as we had to deal with a death in the (extended) family. Hence the title which I think is a quote from Coil. The song however describes roughly how I feel today, so in that sense it was a success: Disjointed, distorted and full of artefacts. At least I did manage to improve my skills in MAX which I have used to do this little thing.

Sorry for your loss!
This piece of music on the other hand, is brilliant

Sorry for your loss.
However there is lots of tasty stuff going on here - the weird unstable bass, the filtered metal, the weird shiny harmonics that seem to be trying to sneak away, the pad disintegrating like spring rainclouds, and the overall mood they all create. Nice work.

Very evocative. Was the MAX patch used to generate the piece, or as an effect?

It was used to generate the piece, using some granular sampling, simple oscclitators and noise generators.

I'm sorry, too. I think this piece is a good response to a tough time.
