Birth Mirth

No, no baby yet, for those following along at home. Soon though, so I'm getting this out of the way on Tuesday this week.

In accordance with my Weekly Retrograde project, this is a sister song to week 25's "Tony Braxton-Hicks" (which if you didn't know, is a pun regarding "Braxton Hicks contractions", a common term for false contractions prior to birthing time).

I generated a banjo figure based on one of the melodies from the original, then wound up reprising the full melody on the accordion. In piggytracker, I also revisited the technique of using pointillistic percussion, and using sequenced files in a more subtle manner.

The accordion is heavily featured because I just had major work done on it, including having a pickup installed, which was used for recording because why not, also loud toddler.

niiiiiiice

Really digging this one.  At first it kind of had an Eastern vibe to it.  The accordion sounds spectacular as do all the instruments.  And nice little baby sound at the end there.
