Admiring a Baby

By Jim Wood on November 5, 2016 3:48 pm

Voxes: Center for Educational Development English as a Second Language podcast "Admiring a Baby." Tuned in Melodyne to C Wholetone Pentatonic scale.

Cool rhythm on this one.  Vocals are completely disorienting in the best possible way.

lush

nice cutup and sequencing too, the nice drum loop weaving in and out ties it all together nicely.

Thanks! That was the element that I went back and forth on.

The topic I've had to deal with, with close friends dropping babies (not literally wink ) recently.

Dig the rhythm in the vocal chops.  Almost stands by themselves.  Love the mind-bending end section!

nice work with these samples!

Weaves an unsettling vibe... I like it!!!!  Builds superbly.

Always interesting and refreshing, thanks for your contribution each week

this is totally sick.  where are the strings from?  did you make them?

Well, kind of: original file was an example of "wow" from Celemony's Capstan site (software designed to remove wow and flutter from old recordings). I Paulstretched it and retuned it in Melodyne.
