This was my first time experimenting with Bytebeat.
Output of C program piped to soundcard + post processing in FL Studio.

If you don't mind me asking, would you need to have an understanding of C programming to use Bytebeat?

Not really, but it does help.
It's more based on fucking around with an algorithm than actual "programming".
