The Constant

By JasonDoss on January 17, 2016 5:46 pm

Due to uploading restrictions, I had to render this file to a 256mp3.

I have uploaded the WAV to soundcloud if you would like to listen here:

This song was written using SNES soundfonts by William Kage in FL Studio 10
www.williamkage.com

Guitar was recorded with my Gibson Les Paul Studio through a Marshall MG100HDFX head, with a Zoom G2.1u effects pedal.
Drums were tracked with Toontrack Superior Drummer.

You really got a lot out of those soundfonts! It's so eerie.

Hauntingly beautiful music. That build up. The Patch Adams quote....to the crushing finale.  Also , have you heard the SNES soundtrack for Waterworld? I am reminded of that soundtrack slightly. Otherwise I think of bands like Sigur Ros, This Will Destroy You, Godspeed You Black Emperor! etc and smile smile.

This was very much influenced by This Will Destroy You and bands of the latter.  I'm a huge post rock fanatic and I really wanted to shine some light on that side of me. Will definitely not be the last track to do so. Glad you noticed the influence!

Rich chords! Follow up last drum !! Amazed

So I've actually known Chris King from This Will Destroy You since ...jeez like 20 years almost. He was in a band with my brother called Five State Drive. My only claim to fame (yeah right) is that I played keyboards on one track.

Yeaaah, it's like SNES godspeed! you black emperor. heart very nice.
