soundtrack to a weird afternoon.
reaktor jam with midi and one of their synths. really impressed with the sound quality of this program. then I put the recorded output into reaper and multi tracked some wavedrum then some contact mic'd tin can into a pog2 guitar pedal (polyphonic octave generator). some post production done in reaper with some soundhack and other vsts and mastered in live and soundforge (mixed some of the reaper render back into the live master it sounded more detailed this way).

Is that all?  haha.

Definitely takes you on a big journey this track!  Quite a psychedelic trip.

Mein Gott. You make it sound like you just pushed a button and then left the area.

This is a great compilation of atmospheres.  Puts me in mind of Speechless-era Fred Frith.  Well done!

very interesting approach and fascinating outcome!

many thanks for listening and your insights! I am on a creative voyage the past few weeks and will be continuing down this improvised soundtrack path this week as well. it is kinda like just sitting down and hitting a button lol! I am to the point where I am figuring stuff out more on the technical end and feel more comfortable than ever at just improvising (have been doing it a lot the past 5 years or so, and really, ever since I started playing music). I come up with stuff I never would have sat down and thought out. I do have another more compositional thing I want to work on, where I hum notes into a smartphone app then it spits out midi of the notes, then I'll put that into reaper and be a composer that way since I don't really use the traditional note system much at all.

Very interesting stuff. Well done!

Very very cool. Weird, oscillating atmospheres everywhere!
