Leap Day

This piece is a representation of modulation and envelopes of many different types (as well as some tape delay from tal-dub). First, the drums are played leaving out a few hits, or just modulations in improvisation in general. then the guitar has a tremolo and rotovibe effect going on. for part of it I was also using a lofi modulated delay from my line 6. then using different ways to change the envelope and modulation of the guitar and drums and the overall mix, were experimented with on the computer. Wanted to change it up a bit and try out my solo instrumental skills... discovered I need to practice a little more often (my guitar skills are needing some polishing and I'm still a beginning to intermediate drummer at best), but overall I thought it was a pretty cool sound.

Some good ideas here.  I like the live drum vibe and the processing.  An interesting end result.  smile

thanks, it ended up being sort of a sketch, but I think I might try more similar pieces in the future
