By george bowles on April 8, 2012 9:32 pmthe goal this week was to do the 4 note scale theme suggested in the forums. I started out this week with some live drums and was going to add guitars and stuff, but I abruptly changed my mind and wanted to do another electronic track.
having missed the dub theme week, I wanted to also work with that theme. having the 4 notes as the main part of the song, I developed some beats more on the simple side. the bass lines and echo and delay effects were the dub part. I was happy with the end result, sounding like some tracks and sketches I worked on a while ago in the early aughts. haven't exactly touched upon this style for a while, a slower more minimal track.
I have a remix and a video for it as well, been a little more productive this week.
