4′33″ (Vier Minuten, dreiunddreißig Sekunden)

This week I went back to the idea of freeing music by imposing restrictions on the processes of composing. It's a system I caught from a French group of writers (Oulipo), who use constraints as a means of triggering ideas and inspiration.
I reversed John Cage's probably most famous work 4′33″  (in which the score instructs the performer(s) not to play their instrument(s) during the entire duration of the piece) and tried to play us much as possible during that time period. I set the alarm clock and stopped recording and mixing exactly after four minutes and thirty-three seconds. This is the result, voilà ...

fantastic idea!  love that synth - what is it?

Cage with actual music? Brilliant!

Very cool, exciting vibe
Wie immer ausgezeichnet!

Damn I really like your process of making this song. Sounds great too! The arppegiated bass has a great low end timbre to it and the little bell sounds conclude the song well.

I'm very curious as to what got you into making this kind of music.
