Tonsil Hockey

By filby on January 17, 2016 8:15 am

I was worried I wasn't going to have time to submit anything this week and then this little beauty just flew out! It needs some tightening up in the middle ( my mid sections always need work! ) but overall, I am stoked with how it all came together!

Let me know what you think??

Love it! Great chunky guitar with thick layered sound but really clear.

Chunky is the word! Rockin shit dude, makes me wanna bust out the 'Metal Zone' stompbox and kill some strings

I know a filby  riff from a mile away. Good work bro. I hear a little SYL moment in there which is nice smile

I love how these songs just talk to me from the first bar. The exact balance of dissonance and harmony, despair and hope that I love in melodic metal. Perfect!

How and I still always hear vocals in my head... wink

Cheers man! That's a huge compliment! Thanks! \m/

yesssssss

Thanks so much guys! \m/

Just as awesome as last week. Really sick guitar work man

SCHJYEAH, DUDE!

This was a very welcomed surprise amidst of all the other beats, awesome work! My only feedback is I want to hear the kicks more

agreed, kick drums too low... i went through this in my real band this year when we produced our album, the guitars kept coming out much louder than the kick drum, when the kick should be punching through everything in metal. good track though.

Cheers guys! I couldn't agree more! I have struggled for ages to get a decent kick sound as well... But have no fear! I am always trying to get the kicks right!

If you could only see what I was mixing on..... hahahaha!

But thanks! Glad you guys are digging what I do!

Now I want to see what you mixed it on... smile maybe you could just double them all up next time? If you have them on their own track that is...

Let's just say I'm using Logitech computer speakers that have a sub and leave it at that! Lol!

Really cool to hear some guitars amongst all the electronic beats. I can also almost hear the vocals in my head, it would be great to have some on this. In terms of constructive feedback, I am wondering if this could be just a few beats slower (not much) in some parts of the song (only 2-4 bpm's).

Thick and crunchy--damned nice chord progression here, too. (Nice to see a fellow guitar player representing!)  Well done!

nice to year some guitars

Loving this one, specially the bridge and all the intermediate parts that build proper tension. Got my head banging smile
