Wrong (Live Improvisation)

By ENC_ on January 22, 2016 12:32 am

Another week and another little crude jam. While i was recording this session everything ended going wrong and I just kept going with the flow to the best of my abilities. I had the batteries to my synth and sequencer die on me..... Thats a bit of an issue...

I made a few small loops that i thought sounded decent together and then just went with the flow. I tried out the multi timber mode on my tetra (still learning the ins and outs of it's operation) and focused on my drum machine and twiddling game for some acid styling. A large part of what i want to do this year is get comfortable with hardware performance so eventually i can leave my laptop setup behind when gigging. I am really comfortable producing by computer and recording hardware but not so much in a live friendly manner which ends up just me doing dj like sets of my songs. Long story short, I am not into it anymore as it gets boring for me.

ANY WHOOOO. that is my little rambling for this week.

Gear Used (pretty minimal):
Elektron Analog Rytm
DSI Tetra
Korg Volca Bass
Boss DD-20

As a fellow producer which builds early demos on my hardware and dumps everything to the DAW, my deepest respect to take that journey so willingly.

Those cowbell and snares cut through the mix like a knife! And the bass... man, that bass!!!

Totally agree.  That bass is awesome, and the brass voices are really great, too!  Great to some echoes of the 808 in there, too.
