A véry very very last minute jam. It's not quite finished, but time was not on my side this week. sad
Nevertheless, I do feel there is potential to this track ...

sick stuff as usual. keep it minimal, friend! love that pad to death

Thanks for the kind words! Wish I had had the time to finish it though, now it feels like a sketch and I only hear the flaws. But very happy you like it! smile

Yes, love the way the pad anchors everything; great mix, too.

The synth that comes in during the upbeat is really really cool. I can also hear alot of potential from this track. Id start with modulating the main pad so it changes ever so slightly over a course of time. Then some busy work with the hats. I like the panning and arrangment, maybe give each one a particular place in the mix? Idk what do you see with this guy?

Yeah, all great suggestions. Had to start one hour before the deadline, so it was very frustrating ... I might work further on it later on ,maybe later in the WB ...

1 hour? That's so good with the time you have. Def go back and give it a touch up. Interested in seeing where this can go

the backing drone loop is superb. Could we know how do you create it? It gives a very 90s feeling to it all

I messed around with a Diva synth sound, which I then played through my monitors. Then I recorded that and imported it again in a low quality as an audiofile, which I think gives it some edge (very unconventional, I know, but it worked out well). I threw a Berlin Resonator from Ableton into it, aswell as an Erosion audio effect and then turned all the knobs until I had the desired sound

Unintentional or not, I have a Behringer C2 condenser microphone in the back of my studio dedicated exclusively to that smile

It's an easy step and could add a lot of atmosphere and nuances to a really conventional sound

Sweet track!
And the background pad is as other's have already mentioned excellent, thanks for sharing how it was done!

Love that intro pad and that bass synth sound.  Nice job! smile

Dig the bassline, nice job in 1 hour!  Great potential here
