Drop It

By Diagamblic on February 28, 2016 11:58 pm

Came up with another improvised piano jam this time around. Pretty free floating stuff - but it was fun smile.

It has a fun bouncy vibe to it.  Nice piano work.

You are awesome on piano!  What type of keyboard is this?

Also, any recommendations for someone trying to self-teach piano?

I'm performing on a cheap casio keyboard - but fed through renoise and using Kontakt VST for the piano patch. All live.

Sure! Not the way I started - but definitely a big help for learning - youtube. Look up beginner lessons. Start by learning the layout of the keyboard if you aren't familiar already. There are videos that will teach you thoery, reading and writing for piano. Personally I started out completely self taught - and then took a few years of lessons about 13 years ago. A good teacher will catch your mistakes and help you to get better too! Eventually find things want to cover - or chord progressions you can improvise over. Music shops have all sorts of easy piano sheet music too. Basics first though!

I'm picking up on what you're putting down here.

Really nice piano work,  A nice returning melody through all of the changes in this.  Well done!

WOW WOW WOW!!!

My main instrument also is piano but you're the master on this!

"Drop it" my new fav tune for this week! heart
